3. Orange juice
Orange juice is high in vitamin C, which helps to strengthen the bones and protects them from fractures, and doctors advise the elderly to take it periodically, to prevent osteoporosis.
A study conducted in the Arthritis Campaign UK’s Epidemiological Research Unit found that drinking one glass of fresh orange juice per day was associated with a lower risk of developing inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis.
An important note: You should consume orange juice in moderation, taking care not to add sugar to it when preparing it, to avoid gaining too many calories, which can lead to weight gain, which is detrimental to bone health.
